Hitchin Beer & Cider Festival

The Hitchin Beer & Cider Festival is an annual event celebrating a diverse selection of beers, ciders, and perries. Established in 2008, the festival has been held almost every year, with a brief hiatus due to COVID-19. Initially hosted at Hitchin Town Hall for five years, it relocated to Hitchin Rugby Club in 2013, where it continues to take place.

The festival is organized and run entirely by volunteers, originally a partnership between Hitchin Round Table and North Herts CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), before linking up with Hitchin Rugby Club upon moving to their venue. Today, it is a collaborative effort between North Herts CAMRA and Hitchin Rugby Club.

Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of beverages, including cask ales, craft beers, real ciders, perries, meads, and international beers. The festival also offers an eclectic range of food options to complement the drinks.

The 2025 festival is scheduled for June 5th to 7th at Hitchin Rugby Club, located at Old Hale Way, Hitchin, SG5 1XL. Tickets will be available for purchase starting April 2025.
