Seagate Brewery

Seagate Brewery, Isle of Arran

Seagate Brewery, established in 2017 on the Isle of Arran, is recognized as one of the UK's smallest registered commercial breweries. The brewery specializes in Belgian-style beers and Scottish ales, offering a diverse range of handcrafted beverages. Notable brews include the 'Temptress Tripel,' a robust 9.0% ABV Belgian-style blonde tripel with a smooth, spicy yeast finish; the 'Moulin d'Or Houblon,' a 5.0% ABV Citra dry-hopped blonde ale inspired by the famous Brugge Zot, delivering a refreshingly crisp and fruity aftertaste; and the 'RYIPA,' a 5.0% ABV American-style pale rye ale, Amarillo dry-hopped to impart an earthy, malty orange flavor. As of March 2025, Seagate Brewery is undergoing its annual deep clean, equipment refurbishment, and new equipment installation, with plans to reopen soon. The brewery is transitioning from glass bottles to cans, with successful canning trials paving the way for a limited stock and range of beers to be available through their webshop in the near future. On the Isle of Arran, their beers can be found at various establishments, including The Glenisle Hotel in Lamlash, The Parlour in Brodick, Lamlash Golf Club, and Arran Botanical Drinks in Cladach, Brodick. Additionally, their 'Monday Morning Mocha' is uniquely utilized at The Old Pier Cafe in Lamlash, both as an ingredient in shallot relish and in their Seagate Gingerbread and Fruit Loaf. The brewery has garnered accolades such as the 'LUXlife' Food and Drink award for Best Craft Brewery on the Firth of Clyde 2021 and the 'Corporate Livewire' Scottish Prestige Awards for Best Brewery in Ayrshire in both 2022 and 2023.
